About Megan
I am a Web/Graphic Designer located in southern Palm Beach County, FL., with eight years of experience in the Internet advertising and design industry. I have a passion for design and for learning as much as I can to enhance my skills and creativity. I am dedicated to my work, easy to get along with, and enjoy life to the fullest. I lived in Europe for four years and love traveling, art, nature, good food, great music, and spending quality time with family.

Professional Experience
I have worked for an enterprise design shop creating custom websites for small to medium size businesses, which is where I gained a solid basis of my design knowledge. I developed a strong work ethic and devotion to serving my customers by making sure each had the best website creation experience. I currently work as the Creative Director for a small internet marketing company in Delray Beach, FL, designing print, web, and email marketing material while managing a small team of designers. Here is where I have gained leadership and management skills, in addition to learning and using the latest design and developer software.

Expertise
Designing and building websites are my specialties. I hand-code my sites using HTML and CSS (maintaining web standards and cross-browser compatibility), and I'm fully capable of updating them using Dreamweaver and VisualStudio.NET. I am fluent in Adobe Photoshop and have a working knowledge of Illustrator and Flash. I give strong attention to detail, and have found myself on occasion noticing slight off-pixel designs to fix. I love troubleshooting and teaching what I know to others, and am grateful to be in this position. I love a good challenge, and can handle fast-paced, under pressure working environments with no problem.

Education
I have a BFA in Graphic Design from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL. I have attended several design conferences including Photoshop World and MAC Design, and have taken several Flash courses for continued learning. I have also attended a Luminary Series in leadership to prep for managment. As I continue on my career path, I look forward to gaining more knowledge of the industry and exercising the passion I have for the work I create.
